How a nut becomes a finished part

Six stages from hex bar stock to packed export carton.

01

Wire / Bar Stock

Hex bar or coiled wire inspected against mill certs.

02

Cold Forming

Multi-station presses form the hex profile and pilot hole.

03

Tapping

Internal thread tapped to 6H or 2B class on multi-spindle machines.

04

Heat Treatment

Quench and temper for Class 8, 10, 12 mechanical properties.

05

Surface Coating

Zinc plating, galvanizing, black oxide, or specialty finish.

06

QC & Pack

Thread gauging, proof-load test, packing for export.

Nuts that fit the first time, every time.

Every batch ships with proof-load test certificates, dimensional inspection reports, and material certs. Third-party SGS or BV verification on request.

01

Proof Load Testing

Each nut grade verified to the proof load specified in ISO 898-2 — no slip, no thread deformation.

02

Thread Gauging

Go / no-go plug gauges check 6H thread fit on every shift across every tapping line.

03

Hardness Testing

Rockwell hardness verified after heat treatment to confirm Class 8, 10, 12 properties.

04

Salt Spray Testing

Coated nuts run through ASTM B117 cycles to confirm corrosion-resistance targets.

Common questions on nut sourcing

Quick answers on standards, locking options, and finishes.

What is the difference between Class 8 and Class 10 nuts?
Class 8 nuts are designed to mate with Class 8.8 bolts and have proof load of 800 MPa. Class 10 nuts mate with Class 10.9 bolts at 1,000 MPa proof load and require alloy steel with heat treatment. Pairing nut and bolt grades correctly is critical for joint integrity.
What kind of lock nuts do you produce?
Nylon insert lock nuts (DIN 985 / 982), all-metal prevailing-torque lock nuts (DIN 980V), serrated flange lock nuts, K-lock washer nuts, and stover-style top-lock nuts. The right choice depends on temperature, vibration level, and reusability.
Do you produce ASTM A194 heavy hex nuts?
Yes. We produce A194 Grade 2H, 4, 7, and 8 / 8M heavy hex nuts for high-temperature flange service in refining and petrochemical applications. Standard finish is black phosphate; HDG and PTFE coating available.
What thread class do you produce?
Standard metric nuts use 6H thread class per ISO 965. Inch nuts use Class 2B per ASME B1.1. Tighter 5H or higher classes available on request for aerospace and precision assemblies.
Can you supply nuts with mating bolts?
Yes. We recommend ordering matched bolt-and-nut sets from our factory to guarantee property class compatibility, thread fit, and finish consistency.
What surface treatments are available?
Zinc plating (white, blue, yellow, black), hot-dip galvanizing, black oxide, phosphate, Dacromet, Geomet, and PTFE coating. Stainless nuts are passivated by default.
